Points of Interest:

1. The next Board meeting will be held from 9 A.M. to approximately 12 Noon on Friday, July 18, 2003. The meeting will be held in room 201SE at the State Capitol.

2. Because of our anticipated budget cuts and in an effort to further streamline, we have changed the residency policy. If the Financial Aid Office has documentation on file to support or deny residency that differs from the status reported on the Graduate Non-Resident Error Report, please e-mail HEAB to update residency. Please contact the grant coordinator if you have any questions, or ask the student to send a Residency Determination Form if you are unable to determine residency. Please see our updated Residency section in our Policy and Procedures Manual on the website.

3. The 2003-05 budget is now on the Governor’s desk awaiting signature. I will share with you the results on the budget once it is signed.

4. The 2003-04 voucher (V) process will begin August 5, 2003. You may begin sending in voucher requests during the week of July 28, 2003. Please voucher only for those students who are registered for coursework.

2002-03

1. The end of year 2002-03 notification list is scheduled to run July 15, 2003.

2. 2002-03 award commit and spent for TIP, WHEG, and WTG are as follows:

   TIP Award Commit	=	139.56%	(last year at this time it was 135.52%)
   TIP Spent	=	98.27%	(last year at this time it was 96.79%)
   UW WHEG Award Commit	=	135.79%	(last year at this time it was 137.33%)
   UW WHEG Spent	=	100.00%	(last year at this time it was 98.13%)
   WTC WHEG Award Commit	=	169.88%	(last year at this time it was 171.31%)
   WTC WHEG Spent	=	99.96%	(last year at this time it was 99.77%)
   WTG Award Commit	=	116.24%	(last year at this time it was 121.95%)
   WTG Spent	=	99.56%	(last year at this time it was 98.11%)

2003-04

1. 2003-04 notification lists and other associated reports are scheduled to run July 1, July 8, July 16, July 22, and July 29.

2. 2003-04 award commit and spent for TIP, WHEG, and WTG are as follows:

   TIP Award Commit	=	70.83%	(last year at this time it was 61.46%)
   UW WHEG Award Commit	=	114.28%	(last year at this time it was 92.80%)
   Note: The 2002-03 WHEG-UW appropriation was used to calculate the commit figure.
   WTC WHEG Award Commit	=	115.99%	(last year at this time it was 101.86%)
   WTG Award Commit	=	111.68%	(last year at this time it was 105.31%)

3. 2003-04 Voucher (V) process is scheduled to begin August 5, 2003.

4. TIP nomination forms are to be sent to John Whitt.

5. File maintenance is being accepted for the following items only:
   Professional Judgement changes
   Special Tuition
   Selective Service changes
   Special Circumstances
   Deletes
   If you have a situation that you believe is a special circumstance, please contact the program coordinator. All other changes must by made by submitting information to the federal processor.
