The Primary Care and Psychiatry Shortage Grant, (Act 128), was created to encourage primary care physicians and psychiatrists to practice in underserved areas of the state of Wisconsin.
Under this program, up to 12 primary care physicians and up to 12 psychiatrists may receive a financial assistance award each fiscal year. The minimum financial assistance award is $20,800. If funds are available, eligible primary care physicians and psychiatrists may receive a financial assistance award in up to three fiscal years.
